Application Deadlines

See below to find the deadline for your particular start date

September Academic Enrolment

Every student starting in September who has been charged the plan fee(s) is eligible to opt out by October 5th.

If this deadline is missed, or you wish to remain opted out of the plan(s), you will be eligible to opt out next fall by October 5th.

If you leave the school for more than a year you are considered a new student for the purposes of this form.

January Academic Enrolment

Every student starting in January who has been charged the plan fee(s) is eligible to opt out by February 5th.

If this deadline is missed, or you wish to remain opted out of the plan(s), you will be eligible to opt out next winter by February 5th.

If you leave the school for more than a year you are considered a new student for the purposes of this form.

Other Academic Enrolment Periods

Every student in an eligible program is charged the plan fee(s) and can opt out within 30 days of their program start date.

If this deadline is missed, or you wish to remain opted out of the plan(s), you will be eligible to opt out next year within 30 days of your plan anniversary as a returning student.

If you leave the school for more than a year you are considered a new student for the purposes of this form.

  1. You must be assessed the Virtual Health Care Fee on your student account in order to opt out.
  2. Approval of the Virtual Health Care opt-out will result in the associated fee being refunded according to the school's policy.
  3. The Virtual Health Care opt-out lasts for 12 months. You will be automatically re-enrolled each year and need to continue submitting opt-out forms as long as you remain a student and wish to stay opted out of the plan. You cannot re-enroll while an opt-out is active.
  4. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made if the deadline is missed. It is the student's responsibility to pay the plan's mandatory fees should they miss the applicable opt-out deadline.
